Helen needs your help!

Message from my amazing wife...Helen:)
It’s not something I was thinking of doing, but a flyer from ‘Beating Bowel Cancer’ landed on my mat, and as I glanced at a photo of Macchu Picchu on the front page of their 2009 fundraiser, I just knew this was where I was going! Macchu Picchu is one of those places I’ve dreamed about visiting, and oddly enough I was reading a book that’s set in Peru, and the chapter I read that night was about the main character going to Macchu Picchu: That very same evening there was a documentary about Macchu Picchu - so someone was telling me something! It will be an amazing way of celebrating being alive, being 50 and being able to give something back to a charity that makes a huge difference to so many bowel cancer patients and their families.

Some of you may already know that my beloved father has recently been diagnosed with bowel cancer, and is now beginning his recovery from major surgery. That’s 4 of us now in my family (me & both my brothers too). So yet another reminder that I must take action by raising money for this brilliant charity, and continue raising awareness (so that more people are more aware of the symptoms of the disease).

So where do you come in?

I need to raise a minimum of £2,900 for this 10 day trek in May 2009
that’s 240 hours divided into £2,900 = £12.00 per hour!
How many hours could you sponsor me for?

1 hr = £12.00
2 hrs = £24.00
3 hrs = £36.00
4 hrs = £48.00
OR
Other amount £...........

You can do this easily by going to a site I have set up with Beating Bowel Cancer.
Warmest regards, Helen Crowe.

A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music, I taught music and drama in various Hertfordshire and Essex schools for 33 years, (yes, I'm an old bloke) then in 2006 decided to start up a film making company and called it webmovies4you.com. We produce property videos, marketing video mails, DVDs, video clips for websites and affordable still photography. A client who has had a huge influence on me recently is Karen Knowler (also known as The Raw Food Coach). She introduced me to juices and smoothies which have really changed my attitude to what I eat. I'm not a complete raw foodie yet, but Karen is a very persuasive lady! See her on the raw food link above. My wonderful wife, helen, is an incredibly spiritual, warm, intelligent and motivated human being who also happens to be a great cook. How lucky am I! My son is a song-writing chef in New Zealand (a bit of mum and dad in that menu) and my gorgeous daughter is just starting out on her exciting world of work journey. Oh to be young.
